Betsy Dunbar and Bulldog Grand Slam recap

Jim McGinnis

Tidal Wave swimmers were busy over the weekend.  Better than 60 Tidal Wave swimmers attended the Betsy Dunbar Invite and performed very well (more to come below).  Connor Haigh swam at the Bulldog Grand Slam at UGA and picked up his second Olympic Trials cut.  Connor finished the 200 breast in 2:15.88!!!  The swim also surpassed his own team record in the event.  Great job Connor!  He will be heading to Indy in a couple weeks to compete at Trials (Evening sessions will be on NBC each evening at 8:00 pm).

At the Betsy Dunbar Invite, six (6) swimmers, from five (5) different training groups, combined to achieve 15 new Tidal Wave All-Time Top 10 times.  Great to see fast swimming across training groups and ages!  We also had several swimmers qualify for JOs and add new state cuts.  We look forward to more great swimming at the end of the month.
