Zones, Futures, Senior States recap

Tidal Wave swimmers finished the long course season in three locations last weekend.  Team members represented the state of Georgia at the Southern Zone Age Group Championship in Midland, TX; at Senior states at UGA, and at Futures Championships in Huntsville, AL.  Kayla Wright further cemented herself as the best distance freestyler in team history setting new team records in the 400, 800, and 1500 freestyles!   Nikolay Chernev secured three 13-14 top eight finishes at Age Group Zones (100 breast – 8th, 200 breast – 7th, 400 IM – 6th), Erick Fortner was 7th at Senior Staes in the 200 breast,  and Luke Renier secured 8th and 5th place finishes in the 100 & 200 freestyle, respectively, at Senior States.

In total, ten swimmers secured Tidal Wave All-Time Top 10 swims.  A full list of those swims follows:

11-12:  Andrew Jansick:  200 free – 8th (2:25.33), 100 fly – 3rd (1:08.06); 13-14:  Nikolay Chernev:  100 fly  - 8th (1:03.16), 200 IM – 3rd (2:20.37); Lucas Hanna:  100 breast – 8th (1:16.39); John Jones:  100 breast – 10th (1:17.40); Senior:  Kayla Wright:  400 free – 1st (4:26.71), 800 free – 1st (9:15.92), 1500 free – 1st (17:38.69); Bennett Baer:  200 free – 4th (1:55.98), 400 free – 2nd (4:04.15), 200 fly – 2nd (2:06.80); Erick Fortner:  200 breast – 2nd (2:31.72); Isaiah Martin:  100 breast – 4th (1:09.06), 200 breast – 7th (2:37.60); Luke Renier:  200 free – 3rd (1:55.86); Jarrett Watkins:  100 free – 9th (54.76), 200 free – 9th (1:59.65), 100 fly – 7th (58.36).  Great job swimmers!
