Nearly 100 Tidal Wave swimmers competed at The Bill Behrens Veterans Invite at GA Tech over the weekend. Meet sessions were crowded and long, but our swimmers took advantage of the opportunity that Tech presents and made huge strides. Tidal Wave swimmers made some nice strides over the weekend at the TWS Fall Splash. Time drops were seen again and again, and the technical changes our swimmers work on in practice are starting to show during racing situations. Tidal Wave hosted the largest Big Brother/ Big Sister meet in years on Sunday, September 29th. There was some great swimming and energy. Tidal Wave swimmers finished the long course season in three locations last weekend. Team members represented the state of Georgia at the Southern Zone Age Group Championship in Midland, TX; at Senior states at UGA, and at Futures Championships in Huntsville, AL. Harper Sampieri and Nikolay Chernev led a strong group of Tidal Wave swimmers at the GA Age Group State Championships. Tidal Wave swimmers and coaches may have been split across two venues in different states, but we managed to make a huge impact in both spaces. Congratulations to Isabella Klinefelter and Kayla Wright for setting new team records!!! Isabella broke her own 100 fly record with a time of 1:02.83!
